If you're looking for pet pictures, I should tell you you've come to the wrong place (check here instead). I'm Meagan DeGrand, a nonbinary queer graphic designer & illustrator located in Seattle, Washington, and my pronouns are they/them. I was trained in the fundamentals of design & design thinking at Kendall College of Art & Design, in Grand Rapids, Michigan for three years, before moving out west to explore what it means to be a creator and explorer. I am experienced in many traditional mediums, and work mainly in Adobe programs for illustration, marketing collateral, advertising, publication design, animation and promotional video, or Procreate for digital painting.
I have been working as the Lead Designer at a public relations & marketing agency in Seattle, WA called Team Soapbox since October 2017. Our group focuses on issues advocacy & grassroots marketing, promoting aid to underserved communities & public sectors.
When I'm not at the computer, I enjoy embroidery, podcasts, humor essays, indie video games and playing music. I'm interested in pursuing the ways artistic expression can aid mental health, processing, & personal development, and perhaps teaching those methods in community engagement & therapy settings of all kinds. My passion for learning, exploration, and interpersonal connection drives all of my personal & artistic endeavors.
